CT Angiography is a non-invasive method to evaluate the blood vessels inside the body using specialized CT scanning and intravenous contrast administered via a small IV tube usually in the forearm or elbow region. Our advanced CT Angiography techniques allow us to visualize large and small blood vessels in any portion of the body from the head to the toes. This exam is most commonly used to look for blood clots in the lungs, aneurysm or dilated blood vessels in the brain, blood flow in the arteries supplying the kidney or intestine, and blood flow to the legs. With our rapid CT scanners this examination commonly takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.
